Keep your schema safe: How to use the Subversion revision control system with SQL Server
Your database schema is an essential part of your software and ought to be tracked with the same revision control system as the rest of your software. However, revision control systems usually exclusively handle file system objects like files and directories, not database objects like tables, views, or stored procedures. I'll demonstrate an approach to getting database objects out of SQL Server and into the Subversion revision control system.
Peter Neubauer is a software engineer working on human performance assessment in flight simulation. He has used SQL Server since 1996 and Subversion since 2004, and enjoys using technology to solve problems.
